I get it...you don’t want to track your calories I get it...you don’t want to track your calories, workout early, or do the tedious things that come with your goals.

At some point you’re going to have to make the tough choices, do the hard things, and align your actions with your goals.

Or...remain the same, your choice.

Just know that to get what you want...you’re gonna have to put in more effort than you’re putting in now.

OR...and I think this is super important to say (hence a capitalizing “or”...Hi mom), making sure you’re putting your effort into the right methods/strategies.

It’s very similar to sports. If you want to play well in the big game...you’re gonna have to practice, if you don’t practice...you’re not gonna be any good.

When you describe your ideal diet using the past t When you describe your ideal diet using the past tense...that’s how you know you’re doing a diet that will NOT help you in the present or future.

“Worked, helped, used, lost...”

If your diet isn’t serving you now...it won’t serve you later.

Think from the end.

Think of how your ideal diet and lifestyle looks like, if you’re not aligning your actions with what you want, you’ll find yourself stranded far away from what you ultimately want.

Picture your ideal diet and work backwards from there.

You need to change your definitions of “works” You need to change your definitions of “works”.

Works doesn’t mean = lost 10 lbs

Works means = lost 10 lbs, have maintained the 10 lbs lost, have a great relationship with food, body image, and enjoying your dietary choices.

Clearly it doesn’t “work” if it doesn’t last.

The south beach diet that you lost 10 lbs on, the keto diet, or intermittent fasting...if you’re not doing it now, or don’t plan on doing it for the long term...it doesn’t “work”.

What works? Eating and exercising for the long term.

That works.

You tell the kids to do their homework, not becaus You tell the kids to do their homework, not because they want to but because it’s required.

You tell yourself not to workout or stay on track because you don’t want to...and complain when you don’t see results.

...if you don’t do what’s required...don’t expect results.

Unfortunately, to get the thing that has been hardest for you to attain...it’s going to require you to do some hard things...and do them consistently.

And logically, you know, that if you’re not doing what’s required, then you shouldn’t expect to see the results you want.

...yet this is most people’s problem...they expect to see A+ results while putting in C work.

So if you want that A+...do your homework...especially if you don’t feel like it.
