The person who has trouble staying on track on the weekends.

The parent who eats their kid’s leftovers.

The person who stress eats because of work, relationships, etc.

The beauty is that your problem isn’t unique, you’re not alone ❤️

As a trainer, you see this everyday. Someone tells you their story, why they can’t get to their goals, and they believe their problem is unsolvable.

But, the beauty is that there are millions...millions of people who are going through the very same thing you’re going through.

And it’s beautiful because often these problems can feel isolating, as if nobody could understand you. While your problems may feel unique to you, there’s a whole community of people going through like you and who’ve come out on the other side.

You’re not alone.

You can get through this, whatever it is you’re going through.

Muscle does NOT weigh more than fat.

Example: 7 lbs of muscle is the same as 7 lbs of fat.

Truth: muscle is more dense than fat, meaning it takes up less surface area, which is why having a healthy ratio of muscle to body fat is safer for long term health.

So next time someone says, “oh I think I weigh because I just started working out”...nope.

If your weight is trending up consistently, you’re probably eating too much and possibly “rewarding” yourself for strength training.

And just for those in the back, it’s OKAY to weigh more and have muscle. You could weigh more than your goal weight but look like you thought you would at 10 lbs lower, that’s normal.

If you lost all your fat but didn’t make any men If you lost all your fat but didn’t make any mental or behavioral progress...you’d just be a smaller version of who you are.

Change starts from within and trickles out.

Want to maintain your physical progress? Work on your mental progress as well.

Yes, you and I both want to look good naked at the end of the day, nothing wrong with that.

...but if you don’t feel good mentally when you’re naked...then it will mean nothing.

It’s important to work on not just your physical progress but your mental progress as well.

Try journaling, seeking out a therapist, bouncing your thoughts/feelings off someone you trust, write goals that are unrelated to fitness.

Change from within, keep what you built.

Relying only on what the scale says is like relyin Relying only on what the scale says is like relying on the lottery for income.

If you invest all your worth, all your emotions, all your progress in what the scale tells you daily...you lose.

Fat loss needs to be looked at from a holistic point of view 🧩🖼

Otherwise, you’re only seeing one piece of the puzzle, and you’ll never be able to see the whole picture if you’re missing the other pieces.

👍🏻Scale Weight
👌🏻Progress Photos
📏Measurements
🧠Mental Progress
🏋🏼‍♂️Strength/Athletic Performance

If you lost all your fat but didn’t make any of these other forms of progress, you’d just be a smaller version of who you are.
